The Flowers pictured in yesterday's photo post are now available for purchasing! Most of the flowers will be $1.75 (small flower, diameter of 1.5 inches, with button centers) - $6.00 (large flower, diameter of 3 to 5 inches, with jewel, beads, or crystal centers) depending on the flower size and it's fanciness... I really love making these and would love to make them to order as well. So if you are interested in some really beautiful flowers please let me know. These can be used for tons of things including:

• Pinned to your shirt, or jacket as a fun broach
• Pinned to Hats to add a bit of pizazz
• Pinned to your favorite headband for some fun
• Attached to clips or bobby pins to add fun to your hair
• Added to a great scrapbook page
• Attached to a chunky necklace to spice it up
• Clipped or pinned to a purse or bible case
• Clipped onto a great pair of heels or flats to jazz them up

Also the Tutu's pictured below are available for order as well. You can choose up to 3 colors per tutu and they are $10 for an infant size (3 for $25), $13 for a toddler size (3 for $32), $16 for 3T - Childs size 10 (3 for $40), $25 for Junior sizes (3 for $62), $30 for Adult sizes (3 for $75). Matching headbands or wands are available as well; $3.00 headband with flower and tulle, $5.00 fairy wand with ribbon, tulle, and flower.

Tutu orders take 7-10 days to complete and Flower orders take 3-5 days to complete.

Busy, Busy, Busy

This past week/weekend was a very busy. Friday night I helped set our church up for a special Vision Saturday meeting and got to unveil the new modern look that the decorations and back drop will be taking going forward. Saturday I attended the Vision Saturday meeting, left briefly to attend a dentist appointment (anyone looking for a comforting and calming dentist, please visit Dr. Borremero at Fountain Valley dentistry in Molalla Or - they are even open on Saturdays!), I came back in time to hear the great things that directions that our church is moving in and the number of prophetic words that are coming to pass as we speak at our church. I then helped set up for our Fall C.I. (Common Interest) Fair and then went home for a relaxing nap and some movie time with my husband. 


Sunday was a whirlwind of activity. We were at the church at 8am to keep setting up for the fair, and we were there until 12:30pm tearing down from the fair. We went to lunch with the others who helped and our Pastors, Garylee and Carolyn. What a wonderful time of fellowship and conversation. I went ahead and went home afterwards and spent a few hours working on more flowers for SATC and started making some much needed new jewelry. I am sorry that I have been so behind on the photos, I promise to have some posted very soon. 


Monday I was home sick with a fever. We went and signed papers on the new (1995) ford that we now own and I spend a lot of time napping. 


Yesterday I stopped at Joann's for a couple of items and ended up getting the latest issue of Sewstylish Magazine. It has a great blazer on the front that is belted and has frilly ruffles down the front and along the bottom, it is definitely on my "To Make" list! Also on my "To Make" list is the below jacket...

I just love the way this jacket looks!

Tonight when I get off work I will be cleaning up my house and getting it ready for Thursday night Family Game night and working on more projects. I just love having lots of little projects that I can work on while watching TV and spending time with my hubby. :-)

Maybe one day soon I will get my Craft Room unpacked and set up in a manor that I can utilize it on a regular basis. One Day...

Tulle into Tutu's

Good Day Thursday!
    Last night I made two of the cutest  tutu's I have ever seen. I made a bright pink, white, and green one; and a purple, light pink, and white one. I originally made the waist band out of ribbon, however, I have decided that I do not like that and will be transferring them to an elastic waist band today. As soon as all of the final touches are on them I will post some photos of them. Monday they will be mailed to my cousin and his wife for their 2 girls to enjoy. I am really hoping to see some photos of the girls in them fairly soon after they get them. One of the girls turns 3 on Monday, and while I was hoping to have the tutu's there for the birthday, I can see that they will a little bit late but there just the same. 
    I also started my project of making Organza roses for our Fall Scrap Around The Clock Welcome kits. This is another fairly easy project with a very beautiful outcome. I should have one completed by tomorrow which means photos will be posted tomorrow too! I am really excited about these and for see them turning out very well and making some extremely gorgeous scrapbook pages for the ladies at the crop. 
    The other project that I am doing for the SATC Welcome kits is branded leather tags. My husband is picking up a soldering iron today for me to use with this project. The idea is to cut tags out of real leather and then stamp an image onto them. In this case I will be using a fall or autumn themed stamp. Once the image is on the leather you trace it with a soldering iron or wood burner to give it a "branded" look. Ever since reading about this technique in Tragic Magic by Laura Childs I have been itching to try it. I think this could give some really good inspiration for page themes and ideas.
    
    Since it is the beginning of September we (meaning mainly myself) have been in a canning swing trying to put up different things for the winter. So far we have canned Dill Pickle Spears, Dilly Beans, Dill Pickled Vegetables, Peaches, Peach Syrup, Applesauce, Barbecue sauce, and Tuna. I have processed and frozen Green Beans, Blackberries, Peaches, Peach Jam, Peach-Blackberry Jam, and Zucchini so far. On the list is canned Apples, Pears, Pear sauce, Pumpkin Pie Filling, Strawberry-Banana Jam, Bread and Butter Pickles, and Chicken; and frozen Corn, Tomatoes, Apples, Pears, and Broccoli; and dehydrated Peppers, Apples, Pears, and Herbs; and smoked Fish, and Jerky. I would love to learn how to make fresh apple cider, but I know I need an apple press and so that will be a project for next year instead. 
    I really sometimes wonder how I have time to work 40 hours a week and commute 2 hours a day to do that work. I have literally tons of projects that I would love to just stay home all day and do, but reality is, I work and do all of these other projects in my "spare" time. My wonderful husband is a great help with the canning and prep for the canning. He usually runs the apple peeler, so that I can do a bit of multi-tasking and stir the applesauce, and water bath can jars of other stuff like pickles while the apples cook down. I really could not get it all done without his help and patience with me as I get going on about 50 projects all at once (which drives him absolutely crazy, by the way).
